….with lots of close-ups! I actually tried to combine the sketch and color challenge. The sketch challenge is over but the color is still going strong, so I’m throwing my hat in.
ScrapFriends Color Challenge
And my take:
Lots of stamping, spray mist, stickers, rub-ons, watercolor crayons. I even covered a tag with some fabric of apples (since it is the Big Apple).
Also, big news!!! I’m not on Twitter as ScrapMuse and Pinterest as Scrapbook Muse! Never actually thought I’d be on either, but it is for my Etsy shop. And I’ve added more to the shop! So please follow me and tell your friends!
..if anyone will like this card. I know most times when making our lovely paper/paint creations, we tend to make them, well, girly. To a degree we have to have a specific male in mind or a challenge to make something masculine. Well for this sketch, I wanted to use some scraps and things I’ve had lying around and make a card for a man. This ended up being something of a Valentine’s Day card simply because of the sentiment. I think it turned out pretty well. Any takers?

“happy I have you”
Yes, you heard right! I’m delving into cardmaking, and have opened an Etsy shop called ScrapMusings! You’ll find my logo and link below.
I’ll have a small section for selling supplies that I don’t use, but the biggest section will be the handmade cards! Different styles, inspired by challenges online! If you’d like a custom card, by all means, contact me and we’ll have some fun! Please pass the word along and thanks for following me!
and song, “Imaginary” by Evanescence. I fell in love with their music when their song “Bring Me to Life” was put on the Daredevil soundtrack. Now I can’t get enough of them. I submitted this for a challenge on the CSI challenge blog. Though I did not get chosen, I loved playing along and also really liked how everything turned out.
I turned the sketch on its side and set to work. I used some of the CSI printable flair for my layout, as well as new and old stuff from my stash. I used Tim Holtz DM in Broken China on a few clouds, and a wee bit of Mod Podge and teal glitter on the others. All the butterflies were also cut from a page from DCWV Far East paper pack. I went with a black and white photo since the color of my shirt didn’t go with the color scheme, and I wanted more attention on the lyrics and layout.
Supplies: DCWV Far East and Performance paper pads, CSI Printable Flair, We R Memory Keepers White Out collection, Tim Holta Distress Marker in Broken China, Baker’s twine (red/white, yellow/white, gray/white), Jolee’s Boutique French General tags, ribbon, button, tiny die-cuts
